As you know, the houses in the Canal Zone are now for sale. There are a lot of "Empties" around but I am sending you 2 fotos of one that has been renovated. Walter Brown's house is on Empire Street.......across from the YMCA, on the way to A mador. One I took in Oct 2002 and the other this March. Amazing! He lived in the house to the right of the little one I first lived in and opposite Joan Payne and Raymond Lloyd.
One thing I noticed about the renovated houses is that they ALL have a fence or wall around them! Really depressing in spite of their beauty. Jan |
CAN YOU BELIEVE YOUR EYES?????????? What do you think, want to buy a house?? |
Archie's house is a typical duplex in Balboa. His was not renovated. The next set of houses are the same kind of house but look what they have done to them. jan |

You will all remember these houses. |
Albrook is the most popular spot to buy a house and they have sold most there. I think it is the easy backdoor access to Panama City. The renovations are amazing. You willalso notice that there are not as many fenced in or barred in houses. These fotos were all taken up ans around the Generals quaters. The general's house was also purchased and is a beautiful compound.
