| In the early 60s I would go down to listen to
LeRoy play the big organ at the Panama Hilton. This, I am told, was LeRoy's drink of choice.
One night I was bet $20 by a cruise ship passenger that I could not drink two from the same
glass and walk to the Lobby and back to the bar.
I remember drinking the first one. Sometime while the mixologist was building the second one
I lost track of things. Apparently I won the bet as I woke up in one of the plush bar chairs
with two tens stuck in my shirt pocket. Go figure! |
